Märchenstraße - The Road of fairy tale characters

A series of gouache works with new productions of well-known fairy tales from the Grimm collection, provided with explanatory rhymes.

This is a new production of traditional fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm collection. However, one does not have to be familiar with the lore to enjoy these motifs. But those who know them, or at least have heard them before, will certainly recognize the irony that flows into each of these works and will perhaps be made to laugh.

This is a new production of above delivered Fairy Tales from the Collection brothers Grimm. However you have to not with ennlorengbe familiar to yourself these motives to delight. But those who know them, or at least have heard them before, will certainly recognize the irony that flows into each of these works and will perhaps be made to laugh. As so often, I came across the fairy tale series purely by accident. Because originally, I intended to paint a window picture of a shoe store with Christmas decorations. That year, women's boots were back in vogue, and the term Puss in Boots couldn't get out of my head. So I painted a window and brought in Puss in Boots. After looking at it for a long time, I thought to myself that I could create another calendar based on Grimm's fairy tales. It took three years before I was finally able to realize all the ideas.

A rhyme in German  is dedicated to each motif from this gouache series, which reflects my perspective on modern stories. With most of the pictures, however, the viewer has to find out for himself which fairy tale the inspiration came from.

A little tip for bargain hunting: two mice are dangling from the bootlegs in the shop window!
