​Like almost every artist in the beginnings, I also liked to paint clown pictures when I was young.

The mood makers that I occasionally create mostly come out of a whim. For example, the tight rope walker, which was created from an oversized shadow cast by a small glass figure that had fallen over in a display case on my living room wall. For the three jumping jacks, I orientated myself on the characteristics of my sons, these motifs were made for the art card publisher Raab.

However, I felt a great need to restage the Joker from 1995. I finally implemented this 21 years later, and the encouragement came out.
