Wild growth

Should of those tree paintings ever make an art calendar, the time span from the first to the last picture is more than a quarter of a century

Watching a tree is one of the effective methods to relax for me. Especially on sunny days. I like the trees with leaf the most. Even when there is no wind, the leaves are always moving. Along with the sunrays between flashing out of all the leaves, a non-stop play of light is created, where my eyes are following. From an artistic point of view, I am particularly impressed by the contrasts between of rough growth and filigree details. From the wild rooting to the strong trunk   to up to the finest ramifications and finally the massive growth of leaves.

I don't want to realistically recreate the trees, I couldn't decide anyway. It is more important to me to emphasize the essentials in my own way. The oldest painting listed under Bunt auf Bunt is the work "Innenleben" from 1993 ( it means the inside of the tree) . When I transported the painting from the outside into the car, it started to rain lightly and a few drops landed on the picture. So I had to paint over the spots created by the water droplets. I turned the stains into painted soap bubbles.
Surely there will be a series of calendars from the trees at some point. But I don't want to arise one work with trees after the other, they have to be felt and arise spontaneously.
