Every year I take the time to create at least one Christmas motif. Since I'm mostly stressed during this time, for me it's not so easy f to get involved in the Christmas spirit. But I know  when I start to work, I'll bring myself into a  relaxation mode. Although my thoughts on the motif are profound, kitsch is often the focus of the painted execution of the Christmas pictures. Just the kitschy thing about it gives me an almost childlike light-heartedness.  The fact that these paintings are nevertheless painted accurately is due to my developed painting style.
