"Susanne Augstburgers Spiel-Art 2008" was the first calendar work with a minimum edition of thirty digitally printed copies. In order to deal intensively with a topic, I started to create twelve topic-related works, which is the same amount to fill a calendar. On the subject of play, I was inspired by a couple of marbled dice. Only after the first work "Zufall" was finished got the idea for the series.

After the picture "Zufall" (translated coincidence) hung on the wall above my couch in the living room and I and I had thought about this term, I had the idea of making a painted play on words out of it. I thought of twenty words ending in the syllable "fall". "Accidentally" I found myself standing in front of an orange round vase big enough that I could imagine dropping a fish (coincidentally my zodiac sign) into it. The terms I had already thought up, such as “Einfall”, “Überfall” or “Glücksfall”, etc., provided me with the small case studies for the work with the name "Fallübung.
